Luxury Anguilla Zemi Beach Resort Community Launched, a Favorite Destination of Celebrities

The exclusive island of Anguilla is due to receive even more interest with the highly anticipated launch of Zemi Beach, a new luxury boutique beachfront resort in the Caribbean.

Stretching along 1,000ft of beachfront at Shoal Bay East, one of the world's most famous beaches, Zemi Beach will offer 73 highend, one to three-bedroom freehold residences with private plunge pools and panoramic views of the National Park and The Caribbean Sea.

Considered one of the jewels of the Caribbean, Anguilla has always been a popular destination for wealthy individuals and high profile celebrities looking for a private retreat to avoid the public eye.

Beyonce and Jay Z, Alec Baldwin, Harvey Weinstein, Will Smith, Michael Jordan, Paul McCartney, Sandra Bullock, Ellen DeGeneres and John Malkovich have all been known to enjoy a luxury vacation in Anguilla.

With its 33 idyllic white sand beaches and one of the highest concentrations of fine dining restaurants in the Caribbean, the arrival of Zemi Beach will add to Anguilla's status as one of the world's premier vacation destinations.

Residents at Zemi Beach will have access to unrivalled, first class facilities including bars and restaurants, infinity edged pools, luxury spa, juice bar and top of the range fitness centre with a state-of-the-art-gym and an outdoor yoga terrace.  There will be a 24-hour concierge as well as a bespoke iPad application for Zemi Beach enabling residents to book restaurant and spa appointments remotely either from the comfort of their residence or before arriving to the resort.

Prices for the one to three-bedroom residences at Zemi Beach range from $645,000 for 1,200 sq ft to $2.9m for a 3,700 sq ft three-bedroom beachfront condos.

The resort is being designed by world-renowned Caribbean architects Lane Pettigrew Associates, initiating a classic Caribbean style, with modern overtones and lavish beachfront surroundings for residents to enjoy. Natural materials such as coral stone, hard woods and clay tiles will be used throughout.

Sustainability and conservation have been paramount to the developers; coastal areas are being left untouched due to the nesting turtles that use the shoreline, indigenous plants are being removed for replanting, solar panels are being fitted and energy efficient reverse osmosis plants are being installed to collect rainwater.

Zemi Beach is positioned adjacent to the Fountain Cavern National Park, which legend has it is home to the original Fountain of Youth.  It was here that carved three-pointed ceremonial stones known as 'Zemis' were uncovered, which inspired the name of the resort.

The Goldstein family is well-known within the US real estate industry for the construction and management of thousands of residential units and over three million sq ft of commercial and industrial property. Zemi Beach is their first international project and they will look to raise luxury accommodation on Anguilla to a new level.

The construction of Zemi Beach will provide over 300 jobs and a further 130 jobs when the resort is operational, figures that are important to the Goldstein family.
