Marriott International just opened the first high-end Renaissance in China's historic Pearl River Delta.
The opening of the 342-room Renaissance Huizhou Hotel is part of a long-term management agreement with Guangzhou R&F Properties Development Co., Ltd. an existing long-term partner. The hotel represents R+F's sixth hotel with Marriott International.
The hotel is the first Marriott property to open in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province and also the first Renaissance-branded property in Pearl River Delta. Huizhou lies in the southeast part of Guangzhou Province and the northeast part of Pearl River Delta with more than 1,700-years history.
The hotel is an ideal place from which to explore the surrounding area, including West Lake, Luofu Mountain, Nankun Mountain and the only seaport turtle natural protection region in China.
"We are delighted to be opening this magnificent hotel today - our 58th hotel in China," explained Simon Cooper, president and managing director Marriott International, Asia. "You can see from this landmark building - the tallest in Huizhou - that our development partners Guangzhou R&F Properties Development Co., Ltd. have built a truly world-class hotel. We are confident that this will help to raise awareness of the city and drive great business to Huizhou and Marriott International is committed to promoting the hotel and destination to local and international travelers."
The Renaissance Huizhou Hotel is ideally located in the heart of Jiang Bei Central Business District and serves as the highest building in Huizhou. The hotel's close proximity to Huizhou City Government, International Convention Center, key office buildings and a luxury shopping mall make it a perfect location for those visiting the city on business.
Renaissance Hotels, which was acquired by Marriott International in 1997, has quickly become one of the most popular brands within the company's portfolio. In 2008, the brand began an intense journey to firmly establish itself in the lifestyle hospitality space and differentiate itself from other Marriott International brands by introducing game changing programs including the Navigator program and RLife LIVE, one of the industry's most well recognized entertainment platforms showcasing emerging musical artists through live performances in Renaissance Hotels around the world.
The Renaissance Huizhou offers 247 deluxe rooms, 76 club rooms, 18 club suites and one presidential suite. The Renaissance Huizhou Hotel offers an exciting array of beverage and food facilities which consist of four restaurants and lounges located on the 28th and 29th floors.
