Somerby-WEB.jpg (UNITED KINGDOM) -- Sequence's New Homes division, part of the Sequence national estate agency network, is announced a significant upturn in new homes sales in 2011. According to its annual results, the number of new-build properties it sold last year was up 31 per cent compared to 2010. The figure comes despite ongoing challenges faced by home buyers and the fact that Sequence marketed an almost identical number of new-build properties in 2011 as it did the previous year.

Meanwhile, the good news keeps rolling in for Sequence agents with considerably stronger sales prospects already being recorded for the year ahead. Indeed, its pipeline of expected sales at the beginning of the year is 36 percent higher than it was in January 2011. It was also recently named 'Best Large Estate Agency' at the Estate Agency of the Year Awards in association with The Sunday Times adding further strength to its prospects for the year ahead.

"New homes continue to be popular with home buyers for many reasons including the incentives offered by developers and government schemes," says Ian Bovingdon, Regional New Homes Partner for Sequence. "It's clear from our figures last year that pent up demand from buyers is now translating into greater numbers of purchases, fuelled by the aforementioned incentives and improvements in the mortgage market."

"There is certainly a greater appetite from developers to buy land and revive mothballed sites in response to the government's housing strategy announcements and increased interest from buyers," Ian continues. "Sequence and its new homes division will be working closely with our developer partners this year to help them make the most of increased market activity. As well as our new homes team, Sequence's branches are fully trained and conversant in selling new homes so we will be best placed to advise buyers on the benefits of buying a new property."

The Sequence Group's dedicated New Homes division works closely with developers and house builders through 15 new homes centers across the UK. It is supported by an award-winning estate agency network including almost 300 local offices with expertise in selling new homes.

Sequence is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Connells Group. Together, Connells and Sequence make up the third largest estate agency network in the country with almost 500 branches. The Sequence national network comprises over 290 branches trading under 11 well-known, local names. As well as residential sales, Sequence offers a mortgage service and has a network of residential letting offices and land and new homes centres. It also offers a nationwide asset management service and is the UK's largest residential property auctioneer.
