(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest's 10,000-square-foot Mediterranean was built in 1974 and sits on nearly an acre of hilltop with canyon and city views. Remodeled during Seacrest's ownership, the villa has a wine cellar and a screening room. Including the guest house, the property has six bedrooms and 6 1/2 bathrooms. A tennis court, a swimming pool and mature trees complete the grounds.
Seacrest, 35, has hosted "American Idol" since 2002. He followed in the footsteps of his radio idol, Rick Dees, in 2004, taking over the nationally syndicated Top 40 radio show as well as a morning drive-time show. His producing credits include "Food Revolution" (2010) and "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" (2007-present).
He purchased the property from two-time Academy Award-winning filmmaker and actor Kevin Costner in 2006 for $11.5 million. Costner had bought the house from Oscar-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss in 1995 for $2.7 million.
Seacrest did not respond to requests for comment.

There are five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in nearly 6,200 square feet of living space.
Levitt designed houses for such Hollywood mainstays as producer Walter Mirisch, director-producer Steven Spielberg and media mogul Lew Wasserman.
Sassoon, 82, who bought the house in the '90s, had listed it in January at $17.5 million.
Another Sassoon residence, the Richard Neutra-designed Singleton House, has been on and off the market since 2007 and has been reduced to $14,995,000 from an original asking price of $19,995,000.

Daly's Former Estate Leased
The late Nancy M. Daly's former Malibu home, which recently sold for more than $40 million, has been leased out for $200,000 a month by the new owner.
The selling price is believed to be one of the highest ever for a residential property in Malibu and the lease price among the highest for the region. The lease term for the furnished house was a year minimum, according to Multiple Listing Service details. Shorter-term rentals have matched the $200,000-a-month mark.
The waterfront estate, on 180 feet of a stretch of Carbon Beach known as Billionaires' Beach, includes nearly 13,000 square feet of living space, a beachfront swimming pool and spa and a sports court on three-quarters of an acre. The ocean-facing master bedroom suite has his-and-hers dressing rooms. There is a gym, a wine cellar, nine fireplaces, eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
The philanthropist, child advocate and arts supporter was married to Richard Riordan, Los Angeles mayor from 1993 to 2001, after her marriage to Warner Bros. Chief Executive Bob Daly ended in divorce. She died last October at 68.
The house, built in 2002, had most recently been for sale at $47 million, down from $57 million when it came on the market in March.
