Grammy-nominated pop star Katy Perry has officially listed her never-lived-in Los Angeles compound for $6.95 million, after failing to find an off-market buyer for several months. Ms. Perry and ex-husband Russell Brand purchased the compound known as Park Hill in 2011 for $6.5 million shorty after getting married.
In classic Hollywood style, the couple went through a highly-publicized divorce shortly thereafter and the singer has apparently changed her tune regarding the home. The "Teenage Dream" princess never officially moved into the Spanish-style home after gaining ownership, according to RealEstalker.
Ms. Perry originally asked close to $8 million for the 8,835-square-foot home, which features seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, according to the listing.
Special attractions include a "grotto-style pool, murmuring brook, Japanese-style bridge and garden, stained glass, stone walls, and carved mantles," Curbed reports.
Built in the mid-1920s for real estate developer C.F. DeWitt, the private West Hollywood estate also offers original architectural details, such as a 45-foot-long double-height living room and a "massive carved stone fireplace that originally warmed an Italian castle and a towering Palladian window that opens to a small terrace with big city view," according to RealEstalker.
