WPC Adds Gulf, Spain Property Columnists

Columnists are playing a key role in WPC's global expansion, which is why I am proud to welcome two new writers to the roster.

Debuting today is Steve Morgan, the head of the Dubai office for Cluttons, the consultancy. When I was covering property for The National in Abu Dhabi, I always found Steve and the Cluttons team forthright and detailed in their assessments of the regional markets. The region requires a clear perspective and I am very pleased that Steve will be contributing to WPC. His first column focuses on Dubai's bid for the World Expo, which could have a dramatic impact on the property market

I'm also proud to belatedly welcome Mark Stucklin, an expert on Spain's rollercoaster property market. Journalists around the world know Mark as the go-to resource for news on Spain property. His Web site, Spanish Property Insight, is a well-quoted source of data and news. Mark is known for telling it like it is, cutting through the clutter of coverage of Spain. His first column focuses on plans to introduce a residency visa for international buyers.

Columnists add depth and perspective to coverage, and I think both Steve and Mark will fulfill that role with style. Over the next few weeks you'll see more columnists come on board as we add experts from around the world, representing different disciplines.

Meanwhile, I hope you're enjoying the first wave of columnists. The list includes Miami-based realtor Valeria Grunbaum, who is finding an audience for her column, Miami International, which focuses on consumer tips for international buyers looking for homes in Miami. Her columns are also prominently featured on our Spanish-language edition. In Central America Property, Claudia Gonella is providing an inside perspective on the home markets in Nicaragua, Panama, Belize and Costa Rica.
