(ST. GEORGE, UTAH) -- At a time when many private golf club communities are struggling to retain and attract new members and homeowners, Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club is a beacon of success for master-planned golf and resort-style communities.

In an impressive vote of confidence, the equity members of Entrada overwhelmingly voted to approve the purchase of the remaining unissued memberships from The Entrada Company, the original developer of the upscale golf community.

This Dec. 10 decision to assume control of the luxurious club was great news for the future of the development, and immediately paid dividends with 41 new full equity golf memberships sold at the community.

"I couldn't be more pleased with the support of our members," said John Browne, President of the Board of Trustees. "We have had a number of new people moving into the community and it seemed that the time was right to take over control of all of the memberships from the original club developer."

As part of this purchase, the Entrada At Snow Canyon Country Club offered special pricing to current Associate and Social Members to become Full Equity Members. As a result of the deal, golf memberships grew by a total of 31 new members plus an additional 10 limited and fractional members upgraded their memberships for a total of 41 Full Equity Golf Memberships.

Entrada also reported to its members that The Board of Trustees approved the 2012 dues level to remain the same as in 2011 at its Dec. 19 meeting. "This means a zero dues increases in all membership categories for the coming year," the board reported. "The decision was supported by a positive financial analysis for 2012 based partly on the members who took advantage of the special offer associated with the approval of the Membership Sales Agreement by the Equity Members on Dec. 10, 2011."

All of this is good news for local real estate companies like Southern Utah Development, currently building homes at Toroweap At Entrada.

"The purchase of the remaining memberships with no dues increase, is terrific news for anyone looking to buy property in a private golf course community," said Dara Tancredi, president of Southern Utah Development. "Entrada at Snow Canyon is definitely on a roll with the purchase of the memberships and the major increase in new building activity compared to any other golf community in the Southwest. All of this activity gives our company great confidence in our investment in Entrada."

Southern Utah Development is a real estate brokerage and development firm headquartered in Saint George, Utah. The principals of Southern Utah Development have an average of over 25 years of experience in commercial, residential and retail development and have owned, brokered and/or developed over $150 million in real estate.

Tiger Woods Ex-Wife Building New Florida Home

(North Palm Beach, Fla.) - Golf star Tiger Woods isn't the only one building a new dream home in South Florida. His ex-wife, Elin, is tearing down the $12.3 million oceanfront home she owned to build a new house on the lot in the exclusive 77-acre Seminole Landing development near North Palm Beach.

Elin Nordegren is living in the San Remo condominiums, an oceanfront development in Juno Beach, while her new home is being built, unnamed local officials told the Palm Beach Post.

Palm Beach County issued the demolition permit on Dec. 16 and it is active until June 17, records show.

The 17,000-square-foot house, built in 1932, was two stories, with eight bathrooms, an in-ground pool and an elevator.

Seminole Landing is among the top five most exclusive communities in Palm Beach County, and the gated development is the home of private Seminole Golf Course, one of the most exclusive classic golf courses in America.

The top-rated Florida course opened in 1929, and most of the houses in Seminole Landing are on at least one acre. A listing for a house on the same street as Nordegren has an asking price of $18.9 million.

Nordegren, 32, divorced Woods in 2010 after a barrage of media reports that Woods was having affairs with several women during their five-year marriage. She has custody of their two young children.

Woods still lives in the couple's former home in Orlando while his luxury hom
