Former PGA Tour Executives Start New Management Company
(PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL) -- After starting and running the PGA Tour's highly acclaimed TPC Network for 25 years, Pete Davison is back in the golf and country club business with a new golf management company called Sage Golf Group Worldwide.
Based here in the same hometown as the PGA Tour headquarters, Sage Golf Group recently landed its first management agreement with JP Realty Partners to take over the operations at JP Realty's Raveneaux Country Club near Houston. Raveneaux is a premier family-oriented private club situated just north of Houston in Spring, Texas.
In its 30-plus years of existence, Raveneaux Country Club has been recognized for being one of the more luxurious country clubs with a multitude of recreational and social amenities that make it a favorite family-friendly destination. Within the 60,000 square foot clubhouse that sits among natural woodlands, Raveneaux offers a variety of venues for dining and entertaining and multiple dining options that include formal dining, mixed grille, locker room grilles and exceptional banquet facilities.
The club also offers full-service golf and tennis shops, 12 lighted outdoor tennis courts and a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool. In late 2009, the Club completed a $2 million renovation project on the clubhouse interior that has been well received by the membership.
"We are extremely pleased to be working with Mark Jordan and Sarah Catherine Norris of JP Realty Partners and the membership of Raveneaux Country Club," said Pete Davison, president and chief executive officer of SAGE Golf Group Worldwide. "Raveneaux Country Club has a rich and long standing tradition and with the hands-on approach of our management team, we hope to create a seamless enhancement to the overall club experience of the membership."
Raveneaux Country Club's Old Course was designed by Robert Von Hagge in 1979.
"We are very excited to be working with Sage Group Worldwide, we spent a great deal of time searching for a strong management team for our country club and I could not be more pleased with our results," said JP Realty Partners principal Mark Jordan. "Sage will surely take our course to new heights."
JP Realty Partners owns approximately two million square-feet of commercial real estate, from Class A office buildings leased to long-term credit tenants to golf courses and/or country clubs.
Sooner National Property Management, a subsidiary of JP Realty Partners, is typically retained to actively manage and lease the underperforming assets.
