(DUBAI, UAE) -- The importance of the Middle East in international real estate was highlighted this week as Hamptons International signed a contract to market the Du Parc Kempinski Private Residences developed by Swiss Development Company. The deal is Hamptons' first in Switzerland. Hamptons was acquired by Emaar Properties in 2006 and has headquarters in Dubai and London.
The Du Parc property used to be a hotel. Now it is being redeveloped as 24 luxury residences in the hills above Geneva where guests will enjoy privacy and hotel service provided by Kempinski. The main city of Switzerland's French-speaking region is a favorite summer destination for wealthy Arabs. A representative of Hamptons describes it as an ideal second or third home for visitors from the Middle East. Those who like to ski are "a short helicopter ride" from Gstaad, Verbier, and Zermatt.
Nicolas Garnier of Swiss Development Company said the partnership with Hamptons allows the company to reach out to a wide customer base in the Middle East region. "Du Parc is the first of its kind serviced residence in Switzerland and our redevelopment focus on design aesthetics will be complemented by the service expertise of Kempinski," she added.
Swiss Development Group SA was founded in 2007 to create and develop high-luxury, landmark real estate projects, including five-star condominium hotels and luxury private hotel residences in Switzerland and around the world.
