(DUBAI, U.A.E.) --  Things are different in Dubai real estate these days. Where once buyers bought properties that existed only as renderings and miniature models long before they were actually built, today anyone looking for luxury apartments on Palm Jumeirah can actually walk into model homes furnished by designers. What's normal around the world is new in Dubai.

At the Oceana Resort and Spa apartments, 455 one, two, and three bedroom apartments have been sold, but potential buyers of the remaining 189 can check out what living on the trunk of the Palm Jumeirah might be like.

"The apartments are a showcase for a life of luxury on The Palm," said Ian Hollingdale, who runs the Palm Project for Asteco, which provides property services to Oceana.  "The show homes have been furnished to a high standard to complement the quality of the development," he added.

Developed by UAE holding company Seven Tides, Oceana apartments sell for between $500,000 and $817,000 for 1237 to 2239 square feet with panoramic views over private gardens and beach.

The resort includes a private infinity pool, waterside promenade and jogging track, and a gymnasium. A five star hotel operated by Movenpick will open in the complex next year.

Asteco, an international real estate services firm and the largest in the United Arab Emirates, offers independent market analysis, design development consultancy and valuation services, sales and leasing services, as well as asset and property management services.
