Panama's Red Frog Beach Resort recently announced the grand opening of its new zipline ride called the "Bastimentos Sky" Canopy Tour.
The ride feature's seven tree-top ziplines that has exhilarating runs with speeds up to 40 miles per hour. The ziplines weave through stands of old growth rainforest and are an incredible experience for those wishing to engage in adventure while learning about and experiencing the rainforest canopy.
The Bastimentos Sky Canopy Tour is the latest of several amenities that are enhancing The Red Frog Beach Resort as the "go to" adventure destination in the region. Along with a fully operating marina the project has launched the Red Frog Beach Activity Center (which accommodates rentals of surfboards, paddleboards, kayaks and snorkel gear) and the development of a network of hiking trails with access to the Bastimentos National Marine Park.
The resort is planning to take advantage of its unique geographic position which gives visitors access to five stunning beaches, and thousands of acres of pristine rainforest ecosystems. The Red Frog Beach Resort bills itself as an innovator in creating adventure based activities instead of favoring traditional resort amenities such as golf courses and large spa complexes.
The resort has ambitions beyond this array of adventure activities however. The project has positioned itself to capture its share of real estate home sales as the second-home buyer market returns to normalcy.
With a number of luxury villas for sale and a new concept of affordable jungle lodges on the horizon, Red Frog Beach is betting on the value proposition of 'Villas at a fraction of the price of similar accommodations in other Caribbean destinations'.
"The development of amenities has been a key selling attribute", states Dan Cranney, VP of Sales and Marketing "The zipline canopy tour is just the latest amenity in creating many activities and experiences that add value for our owners."
The company intends to move forward with finding partners to add a dive center, fishing charters, horseback riding options and other amenities.
Cranney further commented, "With interest in Panama on the rise, it is an exciting time to be part of this growing market."
