Earlier this week, Marriott International Inc.
announced the opening of the tallest hotel in North America
.
The two-brand hotel tower is located in Midtown Manhattan. It houses the 378-room Courtyard hotel and the 261-suite Residence Inn.
The 754-foot-high hotel tower cost $320 million to build and took 27 months to construct.
The building passed the second-highest hotel tower in North America, the 727-foot-high Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.
