Cushman & Wakefield Tapped to Consult Charles S. Cohen's 10 Million Sq. Ft. Property Portfolio

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Bruce Mosler, Co-Chairman of the Board of Cushman & Wakefield, and Arthur Mirante, former CEO Cushman & Wakefield, have both been named "strategic real estate consultants" for Charles S. Cohen's national portfolio of commercial properties, which comprises over 10 million square feet of Class A office buildings.

In making the announcement, Cohen, President and CEO of Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation, characterized the "dream team" appointment as an "important strategic alliance" for his firm.  "We couldn't be more excited to have the opportunity to work closely with the giants of the brokerage business and an impressive and highly experienced team in New York," he asserted.

As part of the initial phase of the assignment, Mosler has assembled a team of superstar brokerage professionals, which in addition to Mr. Mirante, include Edward Weiss and Joseph Cabrera, to handle the exclusive leasing agencies for three of Cohen's signature Manhattan office buildings -- the 41-story 3 Park Avenue, the 31-story 805 Third Avenue, the 20- story 3 East 54th Street, and 39 story tower at 622 Third Avenue, also known as Grand Central Plaza.

Cohen Brothers, which manages all of its own properties, also has a large in-house leasing department which handles brokerage transactions for most of its portfolio internally.  The Cushman & Wakefield team will also be leveraging its in-house Strategic Agency Services Group, a team dedicated to marketing and leasing premier properties to prospective tenants.

After a successful five-year stint as  Cushman & Wakefield's CEO, Mosler recently returned to his "first love" -- driving new national and global brokerage business to the company, developing major accounts and serving key clients while also carrying out his responsibilities as Co-Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield's Board of Directors.

Other Manhattan office buildings owned by Mr. Cohen are 623 Fifth Avenue, 135 East 57th Street, 750 Lexington Avenue, and 475 Park Avenue South.  He is also the country's largest owner of Design Centers, which include the D & D Building in New York, the Decorative Center of Houston, the Design Center of the Americas in Florida and the Pacific Design Center in California.
