(LAS VEGAS, NV) -- Housing professionals from across the country and abroad will convene at the Las Vegas Convention Center this week for the 2010 International Builders' Show (opening today).
It is the housing industry's largest annual trade show and exhibition that is put on by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The event will feature the most cutting-edge designs, technologies, and products for all segments of the industry.
Given the tough real estate market and weak economy of 2009, there were about 555,000 home starts nationwide last year - less than a third of what was built in 2005.
Because of such, attendance may be lower this year than its peak of 105,000 attendees in the real estate peak of 2006. This year's attendance is expected to hover around 60,000 visitors.
