(PHOENIX, AZ) -- The Raven Golf Club at South Mountain, one of the top courses in the Phoenix market, is going to undergo some major improvement projects. Scottsdale-based OB Sports Golf Management, the company hired to manage the course's operations by owner CNL Lifestyle Advisor Corp, will be overseeing a wide range of owner-funded renovations that are designed to enhance the golf, dining and special event experiences at this popular Phoenix golf course.
Located in Phoenix, Arizona, the Raven at South Mountain features an award winning layout designed by Gary Panks and two-time major champion, David Graham. According to OB Sports, future improvements will encompass a comprehensive renovation of the bunkers, landscape improvements and specialized tree management designed to improve the health of the many pine trees that frame the unique golf experience at the Raven at South Mountain.
Other agronomic practices are being implemented with a focus on improving the present turf conditions and playability, and establishing a long-term plan that will ensure that The Raven is consistently one of Phoenix's very best golf experiences. In addition, during the fall overseed closure period, the club will complete improvements to the clubhouse that include interior and exterior painting, new interior design elements, kitchen upgrades, restaurant rebranding and additional landscaping.
"We are delighted to have OB Sports managing the Raven at South Mountain," said Gary Rosmarin, Vice President, Asset Management of CNL Lifestyle Advisor Corp. "Not only does OB Sports bring tremendous expertise to the table, but with its headquarters being nearby, the facility has access to a wealth of knowledge and support from the entire OB Sports corporate team."

"It goes without saying that we are extremely honored to add the Raven at South Mountain to our collection of clubs in Arizona," said Mike Conner, Senior Vice President of OB Sports Golf Management. "We are all excited to lead the charge with re-establishing the Raven at South Mountain as one of the preeminent resort golf and event venues in the Phoenix/Scottsdale market. We have already started rolling up our sleeves and have gotten to work on a number of projects that are already getting great reviews from golfers whom frequent the Raven. They are taking notice of the improvements we have done and some of the 'new look' and 'new vibe' we are creating at the course."
All of the enhancements are being done with little if any disturbance to the current operations.
"Play levels continue to build as more golfers are getting wind of the improvements and upgrades we have already completed and those yet to come," stated Conner. All of the work on the golf course will be completed by OB Sports over the next few months.
